Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Alvin C. York VA Medical Center, requires refurbishment of nine air handling units. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment to inspect and clean the units; restore coils through biofilm and debris removal, superheated-water sanitization, and probiotic application; refurbish and seal AHU floors, walls, blowers, and condensate pans; apply specified fire-barrier and antimicrobial coating systems; reinforce compromised floors; and return the units to safe and efficient operation. The contractor is responsible for outage coordination, testing, commissioning, reports, confirmation of drains and traps, and a ten-year warranty. Except for the Building 11 AHU, work will occur during nights and weekends, with scheduling coordinated with the contracting officer's representative and facility personnel. The requirement is a firm-fixed-price purchase order and a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside under NAICS 238220. The updated amendment extends the quote deadline to September 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM Central Daylight Time.
