Description
Middle Tennessee State University is soliciting bids for complete demolition of the two-story duplex property at 102-104 City View Drive in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, fees, transportation, licenses, and other services necessary to complete the work, including final site cleanup, soil fill, seed, and straw. The bid requires a single grand total for the demolition work and is awarded on an all-or-none basis. The asbestos inspection identified asbestos-containing yellow and black mastics, floor tile and vinyl materials, and transite siding at the property. Asbestos abatement is excluded from this contract; MTSU states that identified materials were abated September 3–4, 2026, with a clearance report to be provided before bid closing or at the pre-construction meeting. If suspect material is discovered, the contractor must notify MTSU and stop work while MTSU arranges abatement. The contractor is responsible for permits, site measurements, skilled and licensed workers, safety compliance, and completing the work within 60 days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must provide a completed bid document, applicable Tennessee contractor's license, proof of insurance, conditional W-9 and ethnicity-report forms, subcontractor information if applicable, and company history with three comparable references.
