Description
The Drug Enforcement Administration is soliciting a single-award, open-market contract from an eligible 8(a) participant for Senior Quality Assurance Technician/Gunsmith Level III support. The contractor will provide high-volume maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, safety and accuracy testing, less-lethal weapons support, suppressor maintenance, firearms inventory and records administration, live-fire range support, firearms instruction, shipping and custody documentation, and customer support for a broad inventory of domestic, military, foreign, and specialty firearms. The work also includes Cerakote, Parkerizing, hot bluing, milling, lathe operations, grinding, welding, fabrication, and safe destruction of firearms. The requirement is a non-personal services contract with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. Performance is principally at the DEA Office of Training and Firearms Training Unit in Quantico, Virginia, with possible domestic and foreign travel. Contractor personnel must meet specified gunsmith qualifications, including at least eight years of experience, relevant certifications or equivalent training, U.S. citizenship, and active or interim Secret clearance eligibility. The technical quote is limited to 30 pages; separate technical and business quotes must be submitted as secure PDF files, with the business quote including completed pricing sheets and required vendor information.
