Description
The City of Tupelo is soliciting bids for construction of an access-drive intersection connecting the Chickasaw Heritage Center to the Natchez Trace Parkway. The work includes earthwork, storm drainage, base construction, paving, and striping, with defined quantities specified in the contract documents. Each bid must include a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an accepted surety, a certified check, or a bank draft payable to the City of Tupelo in an amount equal to 5% of the total bid. Bids exceeding $50,000 must display the contractor's current certificate of responsibility number on the envelope, or state that the bid does not exceed $50,000. Resident-contractor preference provisions apply, and minority- and woman-owned businesses are solicited as prime contractors and encouraged to inquire about subcontracting opportunities.
