Atkinson County Board of Commissioners is soliciting sealed bids from general contractors to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for street and drainage improvements totaling 1.352 miles on Heritage Hills Road, Morris Road, and Mancil Road. The project is funded through a 2022 Community Development Block Grant and must comply with applicable Georgia Department of Transportation specifications, the Build America, Buy America Act, and Section 3 requirements for HUD-assisted projects. A bid bond of at least 5% of the lump-sum bid is required. The successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount. Work must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must obtain the plans and specifications from Statewide Engineering, Inc. to be considered certified; the package costs $200 for printed copies or $50 for emailed PDF copies. The mandatory Section 3 solicitation package must be completed and returned with the bid when applicable, and failure to return required documentation renders the bid nonresponsive.
