Description
The City of New Rochelle is soliciting a construction contractor to improve pedestrian access at the Pinebrook Tennis Center. The work includes removing and replacing the existing stair system with concrete stairs, ADA-compliant handrails, cheek walls, and a mid-level landing; constructing concrete and asphalt walkways with compliant slopes; reconstructing the drive access from the parking lot to the courts with new curbing, drainage improvements, and asphalt pavement; and reconstructing the accessible parking area with compliant slopes, striping, and signage. Posted drawings provide existing-conditions, layout and materials, grading and drainage, site details, general notes, and City standard construction details. The project must comply with applicable New York State Department of Transportation specifications and City standards. The work must be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days. Bidders must provide a 5% bid deposit, and the successful contractor must provide a 100% performance bond and required insurance. Subcontracting is limited to 49% of the contract, and contractors must be registered with the New York State Department of Labor Public Work Contractor and Subcontractor Registry at bid submission.
