Description
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking one complete and fully operational freeze-thaw cabinet for evaluating concrete specimens under rapid freezing and thawing cycles. The cabinet must accommodate up to 18 specimens, including 17 test samples and one control sample, and comply with ASTM C666, AASHTO T161 Procedure A, ASTM C215, AASHTO R 70M/R 70, and applicable AASHTO M 339M/M 339 sensor requirements. The equipment must include automated refrigeration and heating, uniform temperature control, precision temperature sensors, dynamic testing apparatus, a length comparator, an industrial touchscreen interface, programmable test profiles, real-time monitoring and graphing, compliance-report generation, and data export through a local network or USB drive. The unit must be current standard production, supported by readily available parts and service, and supplied with required specimen pans, control pans, literature, and technical data for any proposed equivalent equipment.
