Description
The City of Lee's Summit is seeking a qualified individual or firm to provide professional lobbying and legislative representation services before the Missouri General Assembly, other Missouri governmental bodies, and the United States Federal Government. The selected provider will support the City's legislative agenda, identify and respond to legislation affecting the City, pursue state and federal funding, and provide information gathering, dissemination, strategic advice, and legislative-visit coordination. Required services include monitoring and reporting on legislation and governmental developments; advising the Mayor, City Council committee members, and staff; developing and implementing legislative strategies; representing the City in budget, appropriation, capital bond, and grant processes; supporting testimony and legislative office visits; filing required ethics reports; and providing regular written updates plus two in-person City Council reports. The City permits subcontracting for part of the work when substantial coordination is demonstrated. Proposals must address the requested approach, firm and personnel qualifications, governmental experience, references, lobbyist registration, subcontractors if applicable, resumes, task/personnel breakdown, and pricing.
