Description
The City of Lee's Summit is soliciting qualified contractor(s) to provide trained, commissioned security guards for municipal court operations. Services include screening persons entering the courtroom using City-provided X-ray and metal-detector equipment, access control, patrols, monitoring entrances and exits, reporting incidents and hazards, assisting during emergencies, and maintaining court security. The estimated requirement is approximately 100 guard hours per month, including two guards for eight hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays and one guard for four hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Guards must meet specified physical, language, licensing, training, equipment, uniform, reporting, and experience requirements. The contractor must provide uniforms, train guards in basic and site-specific procedures, submit a written training-program outline, manage scheduling and replacements, and provide detailed monthly records. The contract is an indefinite-quantity, indefinite-delivery arrangement with no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchases, an initial one-year term, up to four successive one-year renewal terms, and a possible six-month transition extension.
