Description
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is requesting letters of interest from consulting engineering firms to provide conceptual reports, preliminary plans, right-of-way plans if needed, and final design services for two I-70 jobs. The project includes replacement of two bridges, an eastbound lane addition, pavement preservation, retaining walls, noise walls, drainage improvements, and evaluation of the 40 Highway intersection and associated ramps. The approximate construction cost is $82,266,000, and the anticipated letting schedule is February 2029. Required services include professional land surveying, geotechnical investigations and recommendations, roadway and bridge design, traffic analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, utility coordination and relocation support, environmental and historic-preservation documentation, cultural-resource surveys, public outreach, construction-phase question responses and field checks, and quality assurance/quality control. Responses must address project understanding and innovation, key personnel qualifications, similar project experience, past performance, firm capability and accessibility, proposed subcontractors, and workforce-diversity efforts. Firms must be current in all applicable Missouri Department of Transportation consultant prequalification categories; the solicitation states that a response addressing workforce diversity is mandatory for responsiveness.
