Description
The City of Independence is seeking a contractor for sanitary sewer relocation and related improvements at Walnut Street and South Noland Road. The scope includes three 4-foot precast doghouse manholes, approximately 425 linear feet of 8-inch PVC SDR 26 sanitary sewer main, sanitary sewer service-lateral reconnections, 12-inch steel casing, support and protection of an existing 24-inch water main, abandonment of existing pipe with flowable fill, and associated water-service adjustments. The work also includes demolition and site preparation, pavement and concrete base replacement, curb and gutter replacement, temporary traffic control and detours, erosion and sediment control, public notifications, pre- and post-construction condition documentation, post-construction as-built surveying, and CCTV inspection of completed sewer work. The contractor must comply with Union Pacific Railroad access, flagging, safety, insurance, and right-of-entry requirements for work near the railroad right-of-way. The project requires completion within 45 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, and the bid must include both the base bid and Add Option 1.
