Description
The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting a contractor to case, load, transport, and deliver mail along a scheduled Contract Delivery Service route. The route requires daily service except Sundays and holidays, with approximately 734 boxes, 31.8 miles per round trip, and an estimated 9,637.6 annual miles. The contractor must provide a vehicle with at least 120 cubic feet of usable load space, suitable standby equipment, and the required vehicle safety and communications equipment. The scope also includes mail security, route casing, handling extra trips when ordered, and contingency planning for schedule changes, equipment breakdowns, inclement weather, and driver absences. Proposals must include a detailed operations plan, supplier eligibility, past-performance and capability information, representations and certifications, a completed PS Form 7405, and a completed Highway Transportation Contract Cost Worksheet. A subcontracting plan is conditional on the stated contract-value or subcontracting circumstances. The contract term is December 20, 2026, through September 30, 2030.
