Description
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is soliciting construction bids for repairs and restoration at four flood-damaged road locations: E. Romano Avenue, Mercedes Drive, E. Cummings Road, and Oilwell Road at Moose Creek. Work includes ditch reshaping and drainage restoration, importing and compacting road material, restoring road crowns and surfaces, and replacing two failed 48-inch-diameter culverts. The project requires traffic control, utility locates, and compliance with applicable highway construction standards. Substantial completion is required by September 1, 2027, and final completion by October 1, 2027. Bids are evaluated on responsiveness, responsibility, qualifications, and lowest total bid. Bids exceeding $100,000 require a 5% bid guarantee; successful bidders must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and required insurance.
