Description
The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is purchasing one new heavy-duty garbage grapple bucket for use on a CAT 914 front-end loader. The bucket must have CAT IT14 coupler hooks, a capacity of 2 to 2.5 cubic yards, a bolt-on cutting edge, a maximum weight of 2,500 pounds, dual grapple arms, and the required hydraulic hoses, fittings, and mounting components. Specified materials are Hardox 450 or equivalent for the cutting edge and Strenx 700 or 900, or equivalent, for the grapple gussets, tines, and shell; documentation is required to support proposed material equivalents. The vendor must deliver the attachment ready for use, provide a minimum one-year manufacturer’s warranty and warranty support, and provide an operations manual and operator training upon delivery. The quote must include delivery charges and identify the delivery schedule. The Borough expects to award to the lowest-priced responsive quote; quotes over $50,000 may not be accepted.
