Description
The Iowa Department of Transportation is soliciting competitive bids for the demolition and removal of the existing metal roof system and installation of a replacement roof system at the Adair Rest Area eastbound building. Work must follow the project plans and project manual, with the owner continuing to occupy adjacent portions of the building during construction. The estimated contract period is October 15, 2026, through November 30, 2026. The Iowa DOT will provide inspection and supervision, and the contractor must provide at least 24 hours' notice before installation activities. A site visit is highly recommended, with scheduled opportunities on September 16 and September 22, 2026. Davis-Bacon wages do not apply.
