Description
The City of Omaha, through its Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department, is seeking a qualified service provider to furnish labor, equipment, tools, materials, inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and wear-and-tear parts replacement for City-owned exercise equipment. Work includes systematic examination, testing, adjustment, cleaning, lubrication, repair, and replacement of parts in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. The contractor must maintain service records, minimize equipment downtime, provide work schedules, and conduct semi-annual reviews of equipment malfunctions, repairs, and preventive-maintenance activities. The proposal must address the contractor’s qualifications, similar experience, management and technical approach, facility-specific service plans, written condition evaluations and life-expectancy assessments for all existing equipment, detailed pricing, and three professional references. The resulting contract will have a three-year term with three additional one-year options. A $50 bid bond or acceptable substitute is required; a performance bond is not required. Successful vendors must provide statutory workers’ compensation, commercial general liability coverage of at least $1,000,000 per person and $5,000,000 per occurrence, and property damage coverage of at least $500,000, with the City named as an additional insured.
