Description
The City of Rocky Mount is soliciting a qualified and licensed contractor to install one City-furnished replacement hydraulic cylinder and associated pins on the North Bascule Gate at the Tar River Water Supply Reservoir Dam. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, cranes, lifting and rigging systems, jacks, temporary supports, specialized tools, transportation, materials, and incidentals. The work includes site preparation, safe access planning, cylinder and hydraulic hose installation, removal and delivery of temporary stiff-knee supports, replacement and full welding of access plates, cleanup, and restoration of disturbed areas. The contractor must coordinate reservoir drawdown and gate outage activities with the City, provide applicable project, safety, and lifting plans, perform the work in compliance with safety and structural welding requirements, and complete testing and commissioning activities in coordination with the City. Proposals must include the required execution pages, pricing attachment, acceptance of terms, supplemental vendor information, experience and personnel information, and at least three similar-project references. The City-furnished cylinder and pins will be delivered to the project site.
