Description
The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering, Architectural Division is seeking a consultant from its 2025 Pre-Qualified On-Call Architectural and Related Professional Services Consultants List, Tier 1 or Tier 2, to provide Phase II design and construction administration services for the interior and exterior rehabilitation of an existing historic fire station into a Junior Arts Center. The scope includes architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, historic preservation, bid support, and construction administration services, along with design coordination for CCTV, intrusion detection, intercom and paging, assistive listening, owner-furnished technology, live recording, ceramics and kiln use, music and sound production, events, and acoustically protected spaces. The consultant must verify whether the roof or temporary reshores can support a cantilevered stage used for stucco work. The project schedule remains two months of schematic design, two months of design development, four months of construction documents, six months for bidding and award, 24 months of construction, and six months of post-construction. BIP outreach documentation is required, and any newly added subconsultants must be registered with RAMP. The proposal deadline was extended to September 18, 2026; three bound proposals and one PDF copy are required.
