Description
Sedgwick County, in coordination with the City of Wichita, is soliciting proposals for evidence-based Opioid Use Disorder treatment, recovery, prevention, and education services under the Overdose Prevention Initiatives priority area of the Opioid Settlement Fund. The program supports culturally responsive prevention and harm reduction services intended to reduce substance-use risk and overdose incidence while increasing community and youth resilience. Up to $270,000 is available, with anticipated individual awards of up to $75,000 and approximately three to four awards. Applicants may address one or more of four goals: youth resilience programs; naloxone distribution and overdose education; Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT); and re-entry and recovery supports using community health workers or peer navigators. Applicants must complete the Response Form and Budget Workbook and submit required supplementary materials, including organizational documentation, a W-9, recent financial information, a detailed line-item budget, and a signed Privilege Log. Performance metrics and quarterly reporting are required if funded. The contract continues through December 31, 2027, with one one-year renewal option at no additional funding. The proposal deadline is September 15, 2026, at 1:45 p.m. CDT.
