Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a firm-fixed-price service contract for comprehensive interior architectural signage at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center campus. The scope covers programming, planning, design, fabrication, installation, and removal of existing signage across 34 buildings, including room identification, directional and wayfinding, landmark features and graphics, life-safety, regulatory, VA policy, and directive signage. Illuminated exit signs and equipment-specific tags, labels, and postings are excluded. Existing room-numbering conventions must be retained, and replacement signage must comply with applicable ABA, NFPA, VA TIL, ADA, and Wichita VA signage standards. The contractor must field-verify conditions and quantities, provide representative physical samples for each sign family, obtain VA review and approval before fabrication, provide temporary wayfinding where signs are removed before replacements are installed, and restore damage to existing surfaces. Work will occur primarily in occupied and operational hospital areas and requires coordination of phasing, infection control, dust containment, safety, access, and daily check-in/check-out procedures. The current period of performance is 240 days; offerors may propose an extension with justification.
