Description
Sedgwick County is soliciting bids for construction of a new EMS Post 1 facility. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, permits, and services required by the construction documents, including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, site, and automatic wet-pipe fire sprinkler work. The general contractor must coordinate shared driveway closures, include utility tap and new-service costs in the base bid, and pay for required permits, special inspections, and testing. Addendum #1 revises the drawings and specifications, adds mechanical, electrical, and plumbing sheets, and requires acknowledgment on the RFB response page. Bids are due September 15, 2026, at 1:45 p.m. CDT, and will be opened at 3:00 p.m. the same day. A 5% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bonds are required. Prime bidders must be located within Sedgwick County, Kansas. The project includes detailed HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, equipment, testing, balancing, closeout, and record-documentation requirements.
