Description
Sedgwick County is soliciting bids from licensed general contractors for improvements to a compromised storm sewer line connecting the Main Courthouse surface parking drains to the City of Wichita storm sewer main. The lump-sum work includes mobilization and general conditions; excavation, removals, and disposal; pipe repair or replacement, bedding, backfill, and connections; surface restoration; cleanup and closeout; and coordination with Sedgwick County and the City of Wichita on traffic control. Bidders must submit a bid on the County-furnished Bid Form, provide a bid security of at least 5% of the bid amount plus alternates, and include the required insurance documentation. The successful contractor must furnish 100% performance and statutory payment bonds, maintain the specified insurance coverage, and provide required post-award corporate, licensing, subcontractor, schedule, and insurance documents before issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The project uses a stipulated-sum contract, with the completion time to be proposed by the bidder in calendar days.
