Description
Western Municipal Water District is requesting proposals for engineering design services for the Abington Sewer Replacement Project. The selected consultant will analyze existing sewer conditions and excess reclaimed-water flows, develop at least two viable alternatives, and design the preferred solution, which may include pipeline modification, reconstruction, realignment, parallel construction, special structures, or other improvements. The scope includes project management; preliminary design studies and reports; surveying, mapping, geotechnical investigation, potholing, utility coordination, and cost estimates; preparation of 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% design submittals; technical specifications and bid documents; CEQA documentation and permitting support; bidding assistance; construction-phase engineering support; submittal and shop-drawing review; change-order and request-for-information support; as-built drawings; operations and maintenance manuals; commissioning support; and operating procedures. Proposals are limited to 20 pages, with resumes excluded from the page limit, and the fee proposal must be submitted as a separate electronic file. The anticipated design-services cost is $500,000.
