Description
Rocklin Unified School District is soliciting proposals for a copper-only Category 2 internal-connections project at Rocklin Elementary School and Rocklin High School. The scope includes CAT6A cabling for classroom, administrative, camera, speaker, horn, athletic-facility, and other currently cabled devices; cable terminations, labeling, testing, certification, and reconnection; copper patch panels; new or replacement cabinets and racks; and horizontal and vertical cable management. The existing fiber backbone is explicitly excluded from the work. Appendix C identifies approximately 1,548 classroom drops and 376 additional cable runs across both sites, along with 149 patch panels, but states that these figures are reference estimates rather than a bid quantity takeoff. Responders must perform their own field verification and price by school site and building. The District may release individual buildings in any order during the stated contract term, and work is contingent on site releases, E-Rate eligibility, and District direction. The mandatory site walk is required, and the Appendix C acknowledgment must be signed and returned with the proposal.
