Description

Riverside Transit Agency is prequalifying design-build entities for a turnkey Hemet Mobility Hub project. The selected team will be responsible for final design and construction documents, preconstruction services, permitting, construction and installation, equipment procurement, quality and safety management, neighborhood outreach, acceptance testing, startup, commissioning, as-built documents, initial operations support, warranty coverage, and a facility maintenance plan. The approximately two-acre project site is at the northwest corner of East Devonshire Avenue and North Juanita Street in Hemet, California, and will include passenger shelters and seating, bus bays and layover areas, accessible platforms and paths, security features, solar-powered lighting, electric-vehicle charging stations, bicycle facilities, drop-off areas, signage, communications, and related mobility amenities. The anticipated design-build budget is $10,000,000–$12,000,000, excluding alternates. Respondents must include a California Class A or Class B contractor and California-licensed professional design firms. The qualification statement must address team information, minimum qualifications, reference projects, key personnel, financial capability, and organizational and management approach, with required forms and supporting financial, experience, licensing, insurance, bonding, and certification materials. Reference projects generally must be comparable United States projects completed within the past 10 years and valued above $5,000,000; the solicitation also requires specified experience, including at least four and no more than eight qualifying projects for the general contractor and principal engineering firm. Only prequalified entities will be invited to respond to the subsequent RFP.
