Description
The City of Lakeland, through Lakeland Electric, is soliciting qualified contractors to provide annual inspection, testing, repair, reconditioning, rebuilding, refurbishment, and storage services for industrial rotating equipment at the McIntosh and Larsen Power Plants. The equipment includes AC and DC electric motors, low- and medium-voltage motors, vertical and horizontal motors, circulating water pumps, condensate pumps, boiler feed pumps, and other pumps and associated rotating equipment of varying manufacturers, sizes, horsepower ratings, voltages, speeds, and configurations. The scope may include clean, inspect, and test services; motor rewinding; pump and motor repair; machining and welding; component replacement; balancing and laser alignment; vibration and predictive motor diagnostic analysis; field, emergency, and expedited services; painting and preservation; transportation; indoor storage; and related documentation. The agreement is for one year with four optional one-year renewals upon mutual consent, with no guaranteed minimum quantity, assignments, or dollar value. The City may award one or more contractors based on qualifications, technical and facility capabilities, service approach, pricing, and references or past performance.
