Description
The City of Gardena is soliciting bids for the redevelopment of Mas Fukai Park, located at the northwest corner of South Normandie Avenue and West 160th Street. The project involves demolition of the existing restroom building and construction of a new building with conventional footings and slab-on-grade, as well as a new community building. A geotechnical investigation has been conducted, providing recommendations for shallow spread footings, slab-on-grade, and light post foundations. The work includes overexcavation, compaction, and placement of structural fill, with specific requirements for material selection, compaction, and surface drainage. The contractor must adhere to the geotechnical engineer's recommendations for foundation design, including allowable bearing capacities, seismic coefficients, and corrosion protection.
