Description
This construction opportunity covers demolition, excavation, grading, underground utility construction, electrical and communications systems, concrete and pavement restoration, drainage improvements, parking improvements, and related site work. The primary systems include Level 2 and Level 3 electric vehicle charging stations, a charge management system, a battery energy storage system at the Joint Command and Control Center, and associated electrical distribution equipment. The contractor must coordinate with Southern California Edison and other utilities, install and commission the equipment, provide training, maintain access to active Port facilities, and meet specified safety, environmental, prevailing-wage, Project Labor Agreement, EVITP, and SBE/VSBE requirements. The project has an estimated bid value of $14,900,000, requires a 10 percent bid bond and 100 percent payment and performance bonds, and includes a 10 percent combined SBE/VSBE participation goal.
