Description
H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute is soliciting qualifications and quotations for the complete modernization of 10 passenger elevators across four groups: two traction machine-roomless elevators at SE Blue Garage, two traction machine-roomless elevators at North Garage, four overhead geared traction elevators at the MCC Building, and two hydraulic elevators at the MRC Building. The scope includes engineering, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, testing, code compliance, elevator interiors and fixtures, controls, doors, machines, wiring, and related architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, fire alarm, security, and communications work. The contractor must perform interim preventive maintenance, fire-service recall testing, Category 1 and Category 5 testing, violation correction, and service-call response through final acceptance. The work must maintain safe hospital operations, coordinate shutdowns and off-hours activities, comply with ASME A17.1 and applicable Florida and local codes, and integrate elevator security, CCTV, Lift-Net, BACnet, and Commend two-way text, video, and voice emergency communication systems. The procurement will evaluate experience with similar and healthcare projects, staffing, safety performance, local maintenance capability, schedule, pricing, and proposal completeness, with approximately six firms expected to be shortlisted for a second phase.
