Description
The City of Clearwater is soliciting bids for restoration of the Seminole Street Boat Ramp. The work includes final design and engineering, mobilization, environmental controls, subaqueous silt and sediment removal, initial and final grading, demolition of the existing concrete ramps, gravel and rock fill placement, installation of new concrete ramp slabs, articulated concrete scour-protection mattresses, guide pilings, and reinstallation of floating docks and gangways. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, environmental protection, and related construction operations. The project supports four launching bays and requires in-water construction controls, turbidity barriers, navigation access, and protection of existing upland improvements. Alternate A uses phased closures and requires substantial completion within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed; Alternate B allows a maximum 45-day full closure from January 3 through February 15, 2027 and also requires completion within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must pre-qualify for the marine-construction category and submit the required certifications, bid security, pricing, and contract documents.
