Description
The State of Iowa is soliciting bids for law enforcement badges and related accessories, including badges for the Iowa State Patrol, Division of Criminal Investigation, State Fire Marshal Division, Division of Narcotics, Division of Intelligence, and Department of Public Safety. The scope includes mini shields, tie tacks, collar ornaments, tactical unit pins, aviation wings, hat emblems, police wallets with badge compartments, and replacement metal clutch backs. Badges must meet specified appearance, dimensions, alloy, enamel, embossing, finish, and hardware requirements and match existing designs. Bidders proposing badges not manufactured by Entenmann-Rovin Co. / ABY Manufacturing Group must provide samples. The solicitation also includes badge repair services for simple refinishing, one-panel changes, two-panel changes, and pin-attachment removal. Bidders must provide an online ordering-system link, standard and discounted contract pricing, order acknowledgments and back-order notifications within 24 hours, and replacement of defective or noncompliant items at no charge. The initial contract term is two years, with up to four annual extensions.
