Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting quotations for 144 feet of SAE AMS5643W steel round bar, composition 630, solution heat treated and centerless ground, with an overall diameter of 0.500 inch and lengths of 10 to 12 feet. The requirement is divided into two line items: 19 feet for one destination and 125 feet for another, with a plus-or-minus 10% quantity variance. Delivery is required within 38 days after order, FOB origin. The material must comply with the applicable technical data and quality requirements, including continuous identification markings, MIL-STD-129 shipment marking, ASTM A700 packaging requirements, and a Certificate of Quality Compliance (mill-material certification) for each shipment. Suppliers must be listed on the Qualified Suppliers List for Distributors or identify any deviation. Quotes must be submitted through the DLA Internet Bid Board System by the stated return date.
