Description
The County of Maui is soliciting bids for the comprehensive removal and replacement of six commercial chilled-water air handler units at the Maui Police Department's Wailuku Police Station. The replacement units must provide equivalent CFM ratings, be intended for commercial chilled-water use, have an expected lifespan of at least 20 years, and include at least a one-year manufacturer's warranty. The work includes site preparation and coordination, removal and lawful disposal of existing units and related materials, installation and testing of replacement units, replacement of unsafe mounting hardware, restoration of ceilings and other disturbed finishes, cleanup, protection of occupied areas, and a final inspection. Bidders must submit a completed and signed proposal, bid breakdown, subcontractor list, addendum receipt form, and bid security. The successful contractor must be properly licensed, provide required bonds and insurance, and complete the work within 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
