Description
Sacramento County is soliciting sealed bids for refurbishment of the existing Raychem Tracetek leak detection system serving sanitary and pressure water lines at the Main Jail. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, a replacement basement leak detection panel, water-sensing cables, zone connectors, leader cables, control and monitoring modules, accessories, and low-voltage wiring. The system must be integrated with the existing building management system for alarm and fault monitoring, and existing jumper cables must be continuity-tested, with replacement of failed cables as allowed by the bid documents. The contractor must use technicians trained and approved by the system manufacturer, coordinate all work with the County Project Inspector and Sacramento Sheriff Organization, comply with restricted work hours and correctional-facility security procedures, and provide required testing, training, product data, shop drawings, record drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and closeout documentation. A valid California C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor license is required. The estimated construction cost is $148,590, the contract time is 90 calendar days, and the project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements and bid, payment, and performance security provisions.
