Description
The Village of Brewster is soliciting a contractor to provide residential refuse collection at approximately 928 residential units across approximately 427 service addresses. The scope includes refuse collection at least twice weekly, recyclable-material collection at least weekly, twice-yearly bulk pickups, annual Christmas tree pickup, and collection of designated municipal dumpsters. The contractor must provide the necessary labor, vehicles, reserve equipment, disposal services, customer-service support, notifications, and recycling-law compliance. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with two optional one-year extensions. Bidders must submit pricing per residential unit and a detailed plan for additional services, along with the required non-collusive bidding certification, Putnam County waste-collection permit, completed questionnaire, and separate bid sheet. The solicitation also requires bid security equal to 5% of the three-year bid, a full-contract-price performance bond, payment/labor-and-materials security, specified insurance, prevailing-wage compliance, and local service capability.
