Description
The City of Sturgis is soliciting construction bids for improvements to its wastewater treatment plant and pumping infrastructure. The work includes installing a mechanical bar screen at the Main Pump Station; replacing influent and effluent samplers; replacing Facultative and Overflow Lagoon liners; installing valves and actuators on the Main Pump Station force main; replacing lagoon and plant pump station pumps; providing laboratory equipment; installing control panels in the wastewater treatment plant administration building; and providing telemetry for the City's pumping stations. The project is expected to be funded in part through the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority State Revolving Fund. The successful contractor must comply with applicable Davis-Bacon wage rates, federal labor and equal-employment requirements, American Iron and Steel and Build America, Buy America requirements, and related Clean Water State Revolving Fund conditions. A bid security equal to 5% of the maximum bid price is required. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
