Description
This solicitation is for preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair services for emergency generators located at the Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. The contract will include a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. Services encompass scheduled semi-annual and annual maintenance, including detailed checks of generator components, fluid levels, batteries, and filters. Additionally, the contract requires emergency call-back services for diagnosis and repair within six hours of notification, during both normal business hours and after hours. All repairs must be performed in accordance with manufacturer requirements and applicable codes. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment, fluids, tools, labor, and replacement parts. The medical center is a critical facility, and generators must be maintained in first-class condition 24/7. The contractor must ensure all personnel are manufacturer-certified for Caterpillar and other diesel-manufactured emergency generators.
