Description
This project involves the demolition of the existing gatehouse officer's enclosure and the construction of a new mass-timber enclosure in its place. The sally port will remain in service, and its existing roof structure, insulation, and membrane will be removed and replaced with a new glulam deck and roofing system. Careful coordination with the Department of Corrections will be required to maintain facility operations and ensure proper project phasing throughout construction. The bid submission deadline has been extended to June 29, 2026, at 1:30 PM. Bids must be emailed to BGS.Architect@Maine.gov. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held virtually on June 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
