Description
The Town of Brunswick is soliciting proposals for the resurfacing and restriping of the Emerson Fire Station parking lot. The project scope includes overlaying the existing parking lot and drive aisle with 1.25 inches of 9.5mm Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and restriping the lot to match the existing configuration. The front parking lot is approximately 5,300 square feet, the back parking lot is approximately 14,100 square feet, and the access aisle is approximately 8,200 square feet. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation, including ensuring positive drainage away from the building's engine bays. Key estimated quantities include 260 tons of 9.5mm HMA, 65 gallons of tack coat, 280 linear feet of striping, and 170 square yards of pavement butt joints. Bidders must submit their proposals in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the bidder's name and contract title, and addressed to the Town Engineer. A bid bond of five percent of the total bid price is required for projects above $250,000. The contract must be signed within two weeks of notification, and work must commence within ten days of contract execution.
