Description
Lee County Board of Supervisors is seeking bids for multiple construction packages associated with Phase II of the Lee County Adult Detention Center. Bid Package I includes cast-in-place and precast concrete, masonry, structural steel and miscellaneous metals, general works, roofing, detention/security equipment, laundry and food service equipment, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Additional building bid packages II through VI are also included, with package-specific bid openings scheduled across October 8, 9, and 13, 2026. Bids may be submitted as sealed bids or electronically through the project planroom. A complete set of drawings and project manuals must be obtained through the planroom. Each proposal requires certified-check or bid-bond proposal security of at least 5% of the base bid. A 100% performance-payment bond is required from the successful bidder within 10 days after award notification. For bids exceeding $50,000, the contractor's current Mississippi certificate of responsibility number, or the applicable statement that the bid does not exceed $50,000, must appear on the sealed package or be included as an attachment to an electronic bid.
