Description
The City of Albany, Georgia, through its Finance Department's Procurement Division, is soliciting proposals for downtown event planning services. This is an as-needed contract to assist with planning, coordinating, and executing various downtown events. The selected event planner will work directly with the Downtown Manager and coordinate with city departments, vendors, volunteers, and event participants. Key events anticipated include the "Celebration of Lights" (an annual holiday event), "Food Truck Frenzy," and "Shop and Stroll." Services may include developing event concepts, coordinating vendors and entertainment, managing event layouts and logistics, coordinating with city departments on public safety and road closures, managing event flow, providing contractor staffing for setup and execution, and submitting post-event summary reports. Pricing should be provided for each signature event, including all planning, coordination, event-day staffing, and support services. The contract will be for one year with two one-year renewal options.
