Description
The City of College Park, Georgia is soliciting proposals for a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) to provide comprehensive tourism, convention, and trade show marketing services. The selected DMO will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the City of College Park as a destination, aiming to increase hotel occupancy, visitor spending, and overall economic activity. Key responsibilities include developing annual marketing plans, executing digital and social media campaigns, public relations outreach, content creation, and search engine optimization. The DMO will also actively market College Park to convention planners and group travel organizers, coordinate with local hotels and venues, and represent the city at industry tradeshows. All hotel/motel tax revenues provided by the City must be used solely for College Park-related activities, with separate accounting and quarterly verification of fund use required. The selected proposer must be a private nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code and have at least three years of experience in destination marketing, tourism promotion, and convention or visitor sales. The contract is intended to be for one year with an option to renew for four additional one-year periods.
