Description
The City of Raleigh is soliciting bids for Contract 2 of the Little Creek Resource Recovery Facility Rehabilitation and Replacement project. This project involves the replacement of disc aerators, drive units, valves, gates, denitrification pumps, and guiderails within the oxidation ditch. It also includes replacing an aerator for the jet mixing system in the waste sludge day tank and replacing the existing sludge pump in-kind. New sludge piping will be installed to connect the waste sludge day tank to the truck loadout. The scope also encompasses the replacement of the chemical feed and storage systems, including bulk storage tanks, piping, recirculation pumps, chemical metering pumps, a new eyewash station, and associated tepid water piping with an instantaneous water heater. Additionally, a jet aeration system, associated piping, pumps, and blowers will be installed in Equalization Tank No. 1. The project includes installing mixed liquor and RAS piping to connect Equalization Tank No. 1 to the clarifier distribution box, and drain lines from both secondary clarifiers to the headworks. A precast meter vault will be installed on the WAS line, along with new electrically actuated valves. The project also involves the demolition of electrical equipment in the operations building electrical room and the installation of a new pre-cast concrete electrical building and transformer, along with associated ductbank and instrumentation for the new equipment. Alternative bid items are available for alternate Orbal Aeration Equipment Manufacturer, alternate submersible propeller pump manufacturer, and alternate submersible pump manufacturer.
