Request for Proposals Medical Direction Services Fire-Rescue - REISSUANCE RFP NUMBER 26-FD02R Proposal Due Date: September 17, 2026, by 2:00PM Local Time Electronic submission via: https://www.miltonga.gov/government/finance/bids-rfps Names for submissions received will be publicly announced via a virtual bid opening at approximately 2:30 PM at the City of Milton City Hall located at 2006 Heritage Walk, Milton, GA 30004. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. If the contract(s) is awarded, it will be awarded to the highest scoring Offeror(s) whose proposal meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the request for proposals. The City of Milton is seeking proposals from qualified medical professionals to provide medical direction and oversight to the Milton Fire Department's Emergency Medical Service that provides services to the City of Milton residents and visitors. All qualified proposals will receive consideration without regard to age, handicap, religion, creed or belief, political affiliation, race, color, sex, or national origin. Description
The City of Milton seeks a qualified medical professional to serve as medical director for its Fire-Rescue Department emergency medical services, including Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support programs. The medical director must be a Georgia-licensed, board-certified emergency physician, or provide an associate physician who is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can be reached by radio or telephone within 15 minutes of notification. The scope includes medical and administrative oversight; development and revision of medical protocols; review and approval of EMT and paramedic training and recertification; establishment of a quality assurance and quality improvement program; medical-record and recertification documentation support; quarterly consultation and planning meetings; hospital and medical liaison activities; review of rescue reports and problem cases; and at least annual training for fire-rescue EMTs and paramedics. Offerors must demonstrate specified emergency medicine experience, knowledge of applicable EMS laws and regulations, current ACLS and PALS or equivalent certifications, and the ability to respond to emergencies or incidents within 30 minutes. Proposals must include separate technical and cost files, with the technical proposal limited to 12 pages, excluding specified forms and other exempt materials.
