Description
Fulton County is soliciting a contractor to provide as-needed installation and replacement of large water meters throughout North Fulton County, including furnishing labor, equipment, fittings, piping, appurtenances, excavation, dewatering, backfill, restoration, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, and related utility construction. Fulton County will furnish certain meters, valves, vaults, and other specified components. The bid schedule includes new and replacement meters ranging from 3 to 12 inches, meter vaults, valves, bypass piping, ductile iron pipe, casing and carrier pipe, fire hydrants, wet taps, thrust blocks, pavement and sidewalk restoration, premium-hours labor, tree work, rock excavation, trench stabilization, fencing, and traffic control. Work will be issued through individual work orders and performed on an as-needed basis. The contractor must coordinate with customers, utilities, property owners, other contractors, and applicable transportation authorities; maintain required licenses; provide a supervisor with at least five years of large-meter installation experience; provide sub-foot-accuracy GPS data for installed or replaced meters; submit weekly progress documentation; and demonstrate installation of at least 150 large water meters during the preceding five years. The contract includes a commencement term ending December 31, 2027, with two optional one-year renewal terms through December 31, 2029.
