Description
The City of Alpharetta is soliciting bids for complete sidewalk repair and replacement work, including furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, demolition and disposal of existing concrete sidewalks, construction of new concrete sidewalks and handicap ramps, adjoining curb and gutter work, grading, backfilling, traffic control, erosion and sedimentation controls, utility coordination, testing, cleanup, and restoration. Work must comply with the City's standard sidewalk and ADA ramp details, including truncated dome warning surfaces and applicable slope requirements. The contractor must perform at least 50% of the work with its own organization, reconstruct sidewalks within 48 hours after demolition, remove construction debris within 48 hours after reconstruction, and restore disturbed areas within two weeks. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid; 100% performance and payment bonds are required before work begins. The estimated miscellaneous construction total shown on the Schedule of Items is $35,000.00. Bids must include the completed Schedule of Items, cover letter, key-personnel qualifications, at least three similar references from the past three years, available resources, up to six similar project examples, bid bond, required forms, and questionnaire responses.
