Rocklin Unified School District is soliciting proposals for a copper-only CAT6A cabling infrastructure project at Rocklin Elementary School and Rocklin High School. The scope includes classroom, administrative, device, speaker, camera, athletic-facility, and other currently cabled-device connections; new or replacement cabinets; CAT6A patch panels; cable management; labeling, testing, certification, and reconnection. Existing fiber backbone infrastructure is excluded. The solicitation uses a means-and-methods approach: responders are responsible for verifying field conditions and determining cable lengths, material quantities, pathways, cabinet requirements, and labor. The contract term is April 1, 2027, through September 30, 2028, with work released by building and performed primarily during summer recess. Personnel must comply with badging and fingerprinting/background-check requirements. A mandatory project walk was scheduled for October 10, 2026, and proposals are due December 9, 2026. The listed quantities include 1,548 classroom drops, 376 extra cable runs, and 149 patch panels across both sites, but the solicitation states that estimates are for reference and are not a bid quantity takeoff.
