The University of Texas Permian Basin is soliciting a lump-sum proposal for selective demolition and renovation of existing laboratory spaces in its Science and Technology Building. The work includes relocating and reusing existing laboratory casework, countertops, equipment, and four fume hoods; building out laboratory space; and modifying laboratory sinks, acid waste, domestic and reverse-osmosis water, compressed air, natural gas, plumbing, HVAC, laboratory exhaust, airflow controls, electrical distribution, lighting, data, security, fire protection, and architectural finishes. The building will remain occupied and operational during construction. The contractor must protect materials designated for reuse, verify existing field conditions, coordinate with the University's Siemens building-automation and laboratory-controls contractor and other designated parties, maintain safe and orderly work areas, minimize disruption, and coordinate utility shutdowns and restoration. Electronic and paper responses are required, including execution-of-offer letters, a VetHUB subcontracting plan, and a proposal with qualifications.
