Description
The City of Vallejo is soliciting professional engineering consultant services for the Mare Island Causeway Bridge Control System Project. The selected consultant will inspect and assess the existing bridge control system; recommend rehabilitation and upgrades; evaluate the operating mechanism, remote operation, balancing machinery, ropes, electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, safety, and traffic-control systems; and prepare an improvement report. The scope also includes grant application support, field investigations, surveys and testing, environmental studies and CEQA/NEPA support, permitting, public outreach, preliminary through final plans, specifications and estimates, construction documents, bidding assistance, construction-phase support, and record drawings and project closeout. Proposals must include the firm's qualifications and team, approach and detailed scope of work, schedule, references, and a separate fixed-fee cost proposal. The consultant and its subcontractors will be ineligible to bid on the resulting construction work.
