Description
The City of Tampa is soliciting a full-service contractor to maintain, inspect, test, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and restore its vertical transportation equipment. The scope covers traction and hydraulic elevators, dumbwaiters, material lifts, stage lifts, wheelchair lifts, chairlifts, and related components across City facilities. The contractor must provide all labor, licensed and certified personnel, supervision, tools, equipment, software, materials, replacement parts, documentation, preventive maintenance, callback response, emergency service, code testing, and repair support. The contract requires 24-hour dispatch and defined response times, including on-site response within one hour for passenger entrapments and emergency calls, two hours for non-entrapment emergency calls, and 24 hours for non-emergency calls. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, provide qualified and certified technicians, maintain a local service center within 50 miles of City Hall, submit extensive personnel, customer-reference, equipment, tools, manuals, and service-procedure documentation, and comply with applicable ASME, Florida, OSHA, and elevator-safety requirements. The award period is one year with four additional one-year renewal options. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site inspection are required, and bids must be submitted electronically through the OpenGov eProcurement Portal.
